I went to the UNDOUKAI of my daughter's pre-schoolfuji.
I watched the UNDOUKAI of pre-school after an interval of 30 years.

I was thinking that the content of the sports festival has evolved.
But, it was almost the same as 30 years ago.

The presence of holding the sports festival is variously different by each
country.

This time, I will introduce the sports day of the pre-school in Japan that might

By the way (TOKORODE), the photographcamera above is an opening speechkaraoke
from the pre-school director(ENCHOU SENSEI).
All the children are putting on the cap of the different color by age and a class.
There is a school year of
three years old child and four years old child and five years old child, and 100 children (HYAKUNIN) are in each age.
In total 300 children (SAMBYAKUNIN)
are going to this pre-school.
What a mammoth school

A parent watchingeye a game enjoys competition most.

And, the creation dancenote ↓ is absolutely performed every year.

Children seem not to be so happydown to mimic teacher's dance hard.coldsweats02 sweat01
It seems that they start practicing the dancenote about one month before the UNDOUKAI.
My daughter was dancing at homehouse, too.
It seemed like that she looked happieruphappy01 when she was dancingnoteat hometulip.
It was very shinecute.heart04

I don't know the reason why, but even when they became a high school student,
they have to do the creation dancenote in the UNDOUKAI still.coldsweats01

But, all children come to take the same pose when they go to the pre-school.
And they come to draw a similar pictureart.

Does "UNDOUKAI" mean 運動会? Sometimes in english we call it a "field day"! It's a fun day with lots of sports and competitions. Sadly, we don't have any dance, like the creation dance :( Is the dance connected to the UNDOUKAI, or is it just a tradition?

I like the many japanese words that you include in your blog! It helps me learn japanese. I teach myself japanese through books! I want to live and work in japan when I can make time. My wife lived in Japan for almost 1 and 1/2 years! She wants to go back and visit! She lived in Sendai and many small towns to the north (but not in Hokkaido).

I agree with your friend, too!

I like your blog, honmani.
I'm 36 year old male from Seattle. My wife and I lived in Japan (she is Japanese) for 6 years until last year I became sick and had to come back to Seattle. Seattle is our home now but it our dream to return to Japan and live forever.
Now we have a 6 month old daughter named Hanon.
We really want her to grow up in your wonderful country.
If you have any comments about Daycare or Preschool please let us know.
Take care
thank you

Tim san,
DOUMO ARIGATOU.
Yes, UNDOKAI is 運動会.
The creation dance is more like our tradition.
Every year we do different dance.
Teacher pick the song and they create the choreograph.
Very interesting. OMOSHIROI DESU.

Sendai is a very nice place. Sendai Beef is very famous. And the Star Festival is famous, too.
I hope that your dreams come true.

Are you okay?

Hanon is a really nice name.
She must be really Kawaii.
I really hope that your family can live in Japan forever.
