20090727-01.jpgThe rainy season has end and the hot summer is coming(ATSUI NATSU GA YATTEKIMASHITAhappy01sweat01).
Japan is the country which is slim in the north and south, the average temperature(HEIKIN KION) is various in each place,
Hamamatsu is around the middle of the Japanese Islands,
Daily life from 30 degrees to around 35 degrees continues.
And also ithe humidity is highhappy02(SHITSUDO MO TAKAIDESU)
In Japan from old days, When it was summer, a device to let wind go through in the home while shutting out the positive has been done.

In summer,There are A bamboo blind(SUDARE), reed blind(YOSHIZU) and mat(GOZA) in DIY shop.
They are made of straw and bamboo is all natural.

Another item "a bamboo blind"is as below photo.

The thing which broke bamboo thin is knit.
While shutting out the sunlight,
When I pull a string
I maintain wind.

This bamboo blind is put at the inside of the room.
but at the outside is also available.
In the case of my house,we set up a net outside a window every year in summer,
I let the plant of the climbing nature rise and make green keeping off the sun light.
It is as below photo↓

20090727-06.jpg

The green is fresh and heart is healed(KOKORO GA IYASAREMASUheart01) I just have a looking.

Not only a heart is healed, really,
but also getting lower the surface temperature of the building, and water evaporating from a leaf brings the cool.
It seems that the temperature of the room falls approximately 5 degrees than the state that nothing does,
Places to take in at school increased recently.

Furthermore, to this green curtain has the nice by-product.
There will become the private vegetable garden if I plant the seedling of the vegetables of the climbing nature! !

Bitter melon(GOHYA)

It is vesitable of Okinawa is the south island of japan.
It is very bitter.
But as for the vitamin C, it is multiplied the lemon by three!
It is the vegetables which are good for a bodyscissors(KARADA NI YOI YASAI DESU).
It is popular to be able to be brought up as keeping off the sun light.Because the form of the leaf is delicate and beautiful.

20090727-09.jpg

Morning Glory(ASAGAO)

This is not a vesitable and to enjoy the flower.
The vanity that opens in just morning
It is popular (NINKIGA ARIMASUheart04)in Japan from old days.
It is a flower of the summersun.(NATSU NO HANA DESUclover)

And the very first photograph is a plant called "the gourd"(HYOUTAN).

I poured water inside and carried it in old days.
My husband is a joke to my daughter;  "I attach a rope to the gourd for you ,and
How about bind a waist with it and take it in substitution for a water bottle into a kindergarten? "
I have a fun to watch the plant is growing up day by day.
I think that everyday is happy that prefer the one that I devise this and that to spend summer coolly.

In Russia we have hot summer in my city too. Therefore this article about sunbeam protection was very interesting and kinda useful. But I'm not totally sure about tatami. Did you use it only during the summer?
