The harvest season(MINORI NO AKI)

20091109-01.jpgMy friend said that "I am going potato-digging(IMOHORI), so shall we go?" to us when I and my child walked around our house last Saturday.

She borrows a bit farmland and grows chemical-free vegetables(MUNOUYAKU NO YASAI) as her hobby.note

Sometimes she gives us some vegetables.

But she invited us for potato-digging before because it is fun for child.shine

I replied to her invitation, and we went to the potato field(HATAKE) straightly.

The world extended when we passed through the side path(KOMICHI) from a residential area.

An old man and an old woman were here.

They retire from business and grow some vegetables that they need to eat.maple

He was so kind person like in tales of old Japan(MUKASHI-BANASHI).

This is today's purpose(MOKUTEKI); sweet potato-digging.

The sweet potato is native to Latin America.

In Japan, those are cultivated since 400years, and they helped people who suffered from starvation(KIGA) several times.fuji

Children also love a sweet potato.

Many kindergarten pupils go potato digging as school outing.(ENSOKU)happy01

An old woman said, "There are taros that they are time to harvest(SHU-KAKU) in my field. Bring Them."

She dug some taros and gave us.happy02

They are the taro that I said in "Viewing the moon".

Additionally there is a tree of the mandarin orange over their field, and it is heavy with golden-colored fruit.

An old woman said kindly "It is chemical-free. So, their surfaces(HYOUMEN) are not beautiful, but it is good for health. Pick them as you like." good

We took away using basket full of fruits, because we couldn't hold in our hands.up

Japanese mandarin orange's season is coming soon.

Mikkabi city is next to Hamamatsu, it is famous for a mandarin orange-growing district(SANCHI) in Japan.

I would tell the story soon.

Oh, couldn't you smell the sweet and sour of them even to you.confident
